Kappa Delta Phi Educational Foundation  

In 1900 a group of young men at Bridgewater State Normal School shared a dream of building a fraternity with the highest principles and standards.  Kappa Delta Phi  Educational Foundation, Inc. was created a century later to support the fraternity by providing supplemental funds to encourage scholarship, brotherhood development, and leadership education.

Educational Foundation believes the high ideals of the fraternity should be sustained and asserted. This purpose motivates dedicated members to make commitments for Kappa Delta Phi’s future by supporting this endeavor. Your support makes the Kappa Delta Phi experience a vital aspect of college life for tomorrow leaders and helps fulfill the dreams of our founders… the dream touching over 20,000 members who are Kappa Delta Phi…. A Fraternity for Life!

Mission

The foundation is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization which creates opportunities to support undergraduate students pursuing advancement in institutions of higher education. This foundation will build financial resources to support scholarships, grants, and educational leadership programs.  This foundation is committed to enhancing the fraternity experience and ideals for all its membership.

Support Opportunities

Edward F. Webber Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is to be awarded to an individual brother that emulates the fraternity ideals and demonstrates a true dedication to bettering the organization. The individual must also embody the spirit of Ed by deeply caring and showing interest in each individual brother. The brother must also foster inter-fraternalism towards other fraternity men and sorority women.

Chapter Specific Scholarship Funds

The funds are created by Chapter Alumni Associations to support the undergraduate endeavors of members and their families.

Foundation Tax Status

Kappa Delta Phi Educational Foundation is incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in the state of Massachusetts and maintains tax exempt status under Section 501( C ) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions made to the foundation for its educational and charitable purposes offer tax advantages to donors to the full extent of the law. Gift acknowledgements are provided each donor, with an indication of any services received in turn for the donation. There are many ways to give to the Kappa Delta Phi Educational foundation to demonstrate support of the fraternity and help fund the educational, leadership, and scholastic programs available through the foundation. Although not always the primary motivation for contributing, Virtually all gifts qualify for special tax consideration for the donor.
